Are you a safety and environmental expert looking for a challenge that puts you at the heart of the action?

We are recruiting an EHS Manager to join a large-scale international project in the Azores, within the technological and industrial sector.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the health and safety plan for the construction phase;
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the site;
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, international standards, and client policies;
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and EHS performance reporting;
• Lead incident investigations, implement corrective measures, and monitor their execution;
• Support the Construction Director in fulfilling statutory safety responsibilities;
• Act as the EHS representative on site, ensuring alignment across all teams.

 

Desired Profile

• Higher education in Safety, Engineering, or an equivalent area;
• NEBOSH certification (or similar) is mandatory;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in EHS roles within industrial construction projects;
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills in demanding environments;
• Fluency in English (other languages are an advantage).
