Key Responsibilities*
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies
Plan and run all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective Ensure these meetings start on time, stay focused, and achieve their objectives
- Coach & Mentor
Educate team members and stakeholders on agile values, principles, and Scrum practices Guide the organization in its Scrum adoption Help the team continuously improve their processes
- Remove Impediments
Proactively identify and remove impediments blocking the team’s progress Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions
- Track & Report Metrics
Maintain and report on key agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down, burn-up charts) Help teams use metrics to drive improvements and forecast delivery
- Support Product Ownership
Collaborate with Product Owner to maintain a well-groomed Product Backlog Help refine and prioritize backlog items to ensure clarity and readiness for upcoming sprints
- Foster Collaboration & Communication
Encourage open communication both within the team and with external stakeholders Facilitate cross-team coordination where dependencies exist
- Risk & Issue Management
Identify potential risks and work with the team to mitigate them Track and escalate issues appropriately
*Required Qualifications*
- Experience
3+ years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
Proven track record of coaching, teams and driving agile transformations
- Certifications
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) required Additional agile certifications (e.g., SAFe RTE, LeSS Practitioner) a plus
- Skills & Knowledge
Deep understanding of Scrum framework, agile principles, and best practices Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills Proficient with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
