The dedicated technology hub of a prestigious international private banking group is looking to integrate a Full-Stack Software Engineer into its development teams in Lisbon. Serving the group exclusively, this technology centre brings together experts, developers and engineers from around the world, in a culture that empowers teams to make impactful decisions and places collaboration and continuous learning at the centre of everything it does.
About the Role
You will join one of the organisation's Scrum teams, delivering shippable features on a modern technical stack built mainly on Java, Spring and Angular, with cloud-based environments using Docker and Kubernetes, and BPMN technologies. Depending on the context, some teams also work with MongoDB, Kafka, Python, RabbitMQ, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL and Kotlin. Your mission will include designing, developing and integrating business workflow applications, configuring business rules, maintaining and updating existing Appway workflows, and suggesting and implementing innovative solutions to enrich the software portfolio. Depending on your experience, you may also coach and accompany junior developers in your area of expertise.
Key Requirements
Advanced degree in Software Engineering and a genuine passion for computer science and technology, ideally with personal projects to share. Solid experience writing and testing quality software using object-oriented concepts, design patterns, Web Services, UML and algorithms. Excellent grasp of core Java and the Java-based technology stack in general. Working experience with JPA/Hibernate, Spring, SQL and relational databases. Experience with BPM notation is a strong plus. Pragmatic experience with Angular or another front-end framework is nice to have. Knowledge of industrialised software development tools and practices such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Maven, JUnit, continuous integration, Docker and Kubernetes. Keen interest in DevOps and cloud architecture solutions. An agile mindset, intellectual humility and a true team player attitude. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. French is a plus.
