Your new role
As an Engineering Manager, you will be trusted with end-to-end ownership of a service, from planning through to stable day-to-day operations, ensuring delivery quality while developing people and teams. Your focus will sit at the intersection of engineering excellence, stakeholder partnership and team leadership, enabling sustainable outcomes and measurable improvement across a multicultural setup.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery and ongoing operation of a defined service, ensuring it remains effective beyond release and into run mode.
- Act as a dependable partner for internal stakeholders, creating clarity, trust and momentum across priorities.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable team direction, aligning work with business goals and long-term priorities.
- Anticipate and manage risks, dependencies and bottlenecks, while driving continuous improvement opportunities.
- Coach, support and grow high-performing teams, balancing delivery needs with individual development and engagement.
- Ensure robust workforce planning, matching capacity and skills to project and operational demand.
- Own budget oversight for your scope, including planning and forecasting activities.
- Keep a commercial lens where appropriate by understanding stakeholder needs and spotting potential value opportunities.
What you will need to succeed
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager (or comparable leadership role) in a technology or software engineering context.
- Strong engineering background, with a pragmatic understanding of delivering software/services in real environments.
- Confidence in stakeholder management and the ability to balance competing priorities with clear communication.
- Business-oriented mindset, able to connect delivery decisions with outcomes and value.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Willingness for occasional international travel (for example, to Germany and India).
- Comfort operating in cross-cultural, international settings (considered an advantage).
