Your New Role
In this position, you will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s data environment by designing and optimising robust data models, ETL processes, and integration frameworks. You will contribute directly to the scalability of the enterprise’s data platforms, ensuring consistency, performance and high availability across all data workflows. You will also develop insightful reporting solutions and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted information that supports strategic and operational decisions throughout the company.
Responsibilities
• Design and evolve data models, ensuring stable and scalable database structures.
• Build and refine ETL pipelines integrating data from multiple internal and external systems.
• Monitor, tune and optimise data warehouse performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Enhance existing data marts and extend current models through new objects, tables and structures.
• Implement data quality processes, governance standards and monitoring frameworks.
• Develop compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI (operational, strategic and analytical).
• Promote best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide clear insights to help stakeholders track performance indicators and support informed decision-making.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Strong understanding of modern data warehouse architectures, data lakes and cloud-based ecosystems.
• Experience with public cloud services, ideally including compute, networking, identity and storage.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks configuration and operation (preferably on Azure).
• Solid background in ETL processes and handling large-scale datasets.
• Expertise in SQL Server performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and PostgreSQL is a strong advantage.
• Confidence working with CI/CD, Git and DevOps methodologies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise environments (or 7 years in broader industry contexts).
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Spanish is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and collaboration skills, with a proactive and autonomous mindset.
