Ensure the proper management, supervision, and control of accounting function, guaranteeing the accuracy of financial records, compliance with tax and statutory obligations, and the timely delivery of monthly reporting in line with the Group requirements, procedures, and deadlines.

Description

Accounting and Closing

• Supervise the accounting recording and classification of all Company transactions.
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of general ledger, subledgers, and supporting balances.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closing processes within the defined deadlines.
• Review and validate accruals, deferrals, provisions, depreciation, and other closing adjustments.

Reconciliations and Account Control

• Supervise and validate bank reconciliations, customer accounts, supplier accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor outstanding items, unreconciled balances, and accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure timely investigation, justification, and clearance of pending items.
• Maintain control over the integrity and reliability of accounting balances.

Tax, Compliance, and Audit

• Ensure the preparation and validation of VAT, Corporate Income Tax, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and legal requirements.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure proper accounting documentation, traceability, and archiving.

Reporting and Group Requirements

• Prepare and validate monthly accounting information for reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with Group reporting calendars, standards, and finance guidelines.
• Support the Finance Director with financial statements, account analysis, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Ensure consistency between local accounting records and Group reporting requirements.

Processes, Systems, and Team Coordination

• Ensure the proper use of ERP and other accounting support tools.
• Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and areas for process improvement.
• Contribute to the standardisation and strengthening of accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide technical coordination to the accounting team.
• Act as a local finance counterpart for accounting matters requiring alignment with Group stakeholders.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, financial closing, or financial control roles.
• Proven experience in monthly and annual closing processes.
• Experience in tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Experience in an international group environment or under Group reporting requirements is highly valued.
• Experience with financial ERPs (PHC strongly valued).
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
