VAT Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and proactive VAT Consultant with a strong background in European tax regulations and a deep understanding of VAT compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical tax expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to lead process improvements within a fast-paced, multinational environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with solid SAP experience and the capacity to manage complex reconciliations, support team supervision, and effectively collaborate with global business partners. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or similar are advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of European VAT, Intrastat, and related tax regulations.
• Strong understanding of SAP, particularly modules related to VAT and tax reporting.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in VAT compliance, tax consulting, or related fields.
• Experience in managing complex VAT reconciliations and ensuring accurate, timely tax filings.
• Prior experience in a multinational or shared service center environment is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, ensuring clear guidance and performance management.

Skills and Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reconciliations.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex tax issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present tax concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure in fast-paced environments.
