Your New Role
As a Solutions Analyst WMS, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions in the WMS space. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex business requirements, evaluate existing systems and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge WMS solutions within our organization.
The Solution Analyst is responsible for supporting the Solution Owner in analysis, design, solution configuration, and testing tasks related to the development of the relevant solution end-to-end often cutting across multiple applications and technologies.
The Solution Analyst will need to build a strong working knowledge of existing business processes end-to-end, System Administration, Mapping, and interface designs for the solution coverage.
You will need to have the ability to review, analyze, and evaluate the work of 3rd party service partners and hand over proper specifications to them. You will need to ensure the reusability of design for common processes and eliminate custom developments where applicable.
You will analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow, and transform the business) to detect critical system deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Acting as gatekeeper for application changes, you will translate Business requirements into functional specs and provide estimation when requested.
You will have to write test scripts and execute testing as required and oversee software quality assurance testing and validate solutions developed by third parties. The role will need to document all solution architecture design and analysis work completed. The role will also perform the project management for smaller solution changes.
The role will include day-to-day collaboration with and design discussions with business process organization and IT staff and with staff from all partners involved in the solution.
You will be responsible for:
- Business Requirements Analysis – Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and solution designs;
- Solution Evaluation – Assess existing systems, technologies, and processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend appropriate solutions to address business challenges. Inform the requestor of the cost and time estimate;
- Solution Design – Develop comprehensive solution designs, considering both technical and business aspects. Ensure alignment with organizational goals, standards, and best practices;
- System Integration – Coordinate with development teams and vendors to ensure smooth integration of new solutions with existing systems. Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution;
- Documentation – Create detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, requirements specifications, user guides, and training materials;
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Engage with business users, IT teams, and external stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions;
- Project Management – Participate in project planning and execution, including task estimation, resource allocation, progress tracking, and risk management;
- Continuous Improvement – Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance systems, streamline processes, and optimize business outcomes;
- Support the Product lifecycle management (Concepts through ongoing Run & Maintain) – Working together with the Solution Architect, the markets, and several internal and external technology teams in matrixed setup.
What you will need to be succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience;
- +3 years of experience working as a Solutions Analyst or in a similar role within the IT domain of WMS area (IT solution development disciplines, including architecture and application design/development);
- Knowledge of Infor/WMS or similar WMS solutions;
- Experience in business process knowledge within one or more of the following Industry Sectors (Logistics and Supply Chain Management);
- Proficiency in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions;
- Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks;
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and propose innovative solutions;
- Ability to work independently and deliver multiple projects and support activities with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work with Developers and in and out outsourced environment;
- Excellent planning and organizational skills;
- Experience working in multicultural teams and complex organizations;
- Ability to work in a fast environment and to manage multiple priorities;
- Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
