We are currently looking for an IoT Test Automation Engineer to join an exciting project focused on smart device ecosystems.

Location: Portugal (Remote)

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for IoT devices and embedded systems.
• Validate connectivity, data flow, and functionality between IoT devices, gateways, and cloud services.
• Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and define appropriate testing strategies.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing using automation tools.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test frameworks and pipelines.
• Support manual testing efforts when necessary for edge cases or new hardware.
• Document test results and report bugs with clarity and precision.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in test automation, preferably with IoT or embedded systems.
• Strong programming/scripting experience in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with testing IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, or HTTP.
• Experience in validating hardware/software integrations.
• Basic understanding of Docker for test environment setup.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Fluent English - mandatory.
