What will your role be at SMART?

We are looking for a Machine Learning Officer to join our team. This role involves developing and deploying end-to-end ML and AI solutions, collaborating with data scientists and developers, and contributing to the advancement of data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, including data collection, model training, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the data science team to develop, modify, and support in-house applications.
• Work closely with clients throughout the application lifecycle.
• Design appropriate approaches to solve business challenges within the company's framework.
• Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of ML models and software in production.
• Contribute to fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, methodologies, technologies, and tools.

Main Tasks:

• End-to-end product lifecycle development for ML and AI solutions.
• Assist in model and software deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Technical Skills:

• Strong ability to explain model results and the factors impacting them.
• Expertise in statistical and quantitative analysis (e.g., machine learning models, Bayesian statistics, time series analysis).
• Proficiency in at least one ML development stack (e.g., scikit-learn, keras).
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
• Effective programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Java, Go).
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English.
• French and Portuguese are a plus.
