What will be your role

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst / Data Engineer to join a strategic project for a leading client in the banking sector. This professional will play a key role in structuring and managing data environments, ensuring data quality, and supporting critical decision-making through reliable, integrated, and well-modelled information. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with technical and business teams, contributing to the architecture and governance of complex data ecosystems in a regulated, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, structure, and transform data to support strategic business decisions.
• Define and manage data domains, ensuring governance, consistency, and data quality.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and processing.
• Gather requirements from business areas and other stakeholders to translate them into efficient technical solutions.
• Integrate multiple data sources, ensuring consistency and reliability in batch and streaming data loading processes.
• Communicate technical results clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to investigating root causes and identifying actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to shared goals and integrating diverse perspectives.

What should you bring to the team?

• At least 3 years of experience working in data analysis, business analyst, functional analyst or similar roles.
• Advanced experience with SQL scripting and relational data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with SingleStore, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Solid background in ETL processes.
• Practical use of Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and transformation.
• Ability to handle structured and semi-structured data, integrating information from diverse sources.
• Experience translating business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
• Understanding of data governance and domain-driven data architectures.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to work across technical and business teams.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and integration of data processes in cloud environments (Azure preferred) is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, with excellent organizational and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
• Availability to work in a hybrid model (3 days a week) at clients' offices in Lisbon;
