Your new role
As SAP Service Owner Procurement/SCM, you will take full ownership of IT services supporting procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring they deliver consistent value to the business. You will act as the central point of coordination across IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, guaranteeing that systems are aligned with operational needs and continuously evolving.
You will oversee the entire service lifecycle, balancing performance, cost, and risk while driving innovation and improvement initiatives across the SAP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of IT services across procurement and supply chain domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manage the SAP landscape covering procurement, logistics, and planning systems, including integrations with external platforms
- Monitor service performance through KPIs and metrics, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and user satisfaction
- Define and govern service level agreements, balancing cost, quality, and performance expectations
- Coordinate change, release, and transition processes to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handle escalations, risks, and incidents, acting as the final decision point for major service disruptions
- Manage budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders, identifying optimisation opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using recognised frameworks and best practices
- Build strong relationships across IT and business teams, fostering collaboration and service excellence
- Promote transparency through regular reporting and stakeholder engagement
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience within IT service management in complex, international environments
- Strong expertise in SAP Procurement and Supply Chain modules (MM, SD, IBP, and related processes)
- Experience with procurement ecosystems such as Ariba or similar platforms
- Exposure to S/4HANA transformations and SAP-driven innovation initiatives
- Solid understanding of IT service lifecycle frameworks and governance practices
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders, budgets, and service performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset
