Your new role

As an SAP Security Expert, you'll be the go-to specialist in charge of defining and enforcing SAP access and authorisation frameworks. Working within a high-performing, globally distributed team in Group Technology Operations, you'll lead design, implementation, and optimisation of security roles for both on-premise and cloud-based SAP environments. You'll collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to ensure both compliance and functional usability, while maintaining robust access control and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP user authorisations and roles using tools such as SU01, PFCG, SUIM, ST01, and SU25.
• Design and implement GRC processes, including SoD analysis, remediation and control monitoring.
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments and regular reviews against regulatory frameworks (GDPR, SOX, etc.).
• Troubleshoot access issues and perform root-cause investigations.
• Liaise with technical and business teams to ensure secure integration between SAP modules and external systems.
• Maintain documentation of security protocols, policies, and incident logs.
• Stay up-to-date with SAP security best practices and advise on emerging threats and enhancements.

What you'll need to succeed

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security and Access Management.
• Deep knowledge of SAP authorisation concepts and user administration.
• Experience with SAP GRC modules is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based SAP architectures.
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements like SoD, GDPR, SOX.
• Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
