Job Summary: The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting hotel accounting operations with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and revenue control. This role ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely invoicing and collections, and close collaboration with the Revenue Management team to analyse performance, validate revenues across all sales channels, and support monthly financial closings in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Commissions Management

·       Set-up, maintenance and ongoing update of sales commission structures within the sales platform

·       Monthly processing of sales commissions (Portugal, Spain, UK) in accordance with current commission policies

·       Execution of commission payroll simulations and validation with Sales Managers and Sales Director

·       Review and validation of supporting documentation (receipts, contracts) prior to payments

·       Calculation and booking of commission accruals and related taxes in Primavera

Marketing and Partner Commissions

·       Calculation of commissions payable to IPCs and commercial partners based on platform reports

·       Preparation of Excel-based reports by line of business

·       Accounting registration of commissions in Primavera

Commercial Management Commissions and Bonuses

·       Calculation of Sales Director commissions based on closed sales

·       Calculation and booking of bonus provisions for Line Managers

 

 

 

Sales Reporting and Accounting Support

·       Consolidation of multiple sales reports (Closed Sales, Sales Report, Resume Reports) into a single control file

·       Preparation of monthly reports to support accounting activities

·       Analysis of variances between sales figures, commissions and accounting records

Budgeting and Planning

·       Preparation of the annual budget, including headcount and commission costs

·       Cross-functional support to multiple business units/clubs (Vacation Club, MGM Club, Club Infiniti, among others)

 

Requirements:

·       Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related fields, or relevant professional experience in the area

·       Advanced proficiency in Excel

·       Hands-on experience with commission systems and commercial reporting

·       Strong knowledge of operational accounting (accruals, provisions, journal entries)

·       Experience with Primavera ERP (mandatory)

·       Ability to work across multiple countries and commercial stakeholders

·       Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and deadline-driven profile

·       Proficient in Portuguese and English languages.
