Quality Assurance Engineer

We are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of a pioneering project in the automotive industry, working on cutting-edge solutions that shape the future of connected mobility. You will join Appning, the gateway to 23 different car brand experiences, connecting OEMs and App Developers to build the future of connected vehicles.

Main responsibilities

Collaborate with customers, product managers, and cross-functional development teams to refine and clarify product requirements;

Design, develop, and maintain detailed test scenarios and cases based on system requirements and user stories;

Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests across diverse environments including Android-based in-car systems and emulators;

Accurately document test results and create clear, actionable bug reports;

Participate actively in defect triage meetings and work closely with developers to drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement;

Support the continuous improvement of QA processes and product quality standards;

Comply with the companys ethical and management standards in all daily activities.

Your profile

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;

Proven experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the automotive or embedded systems sector;

Familiarity with Android-based systems and car emulator tools;

Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies;

Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail);

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;

Attention to detail and passion for delivering a high-quality end-user experience;

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

Experience in automotive environments or connected vehicle systems.
