Role Overview:

We are looking for an OutSystems Architect to join an important project in the public sector.

You will have a high-impact government digital transformation program. You'll lead the design of scalable, secure, and citizen-focused applications using the OutSystems platform, helping modernize essential public services. This is a unique opportunity to drive platform architecture in a complex environment, influence best practices across teams, and deliver solutions that will serve the public for years to come.

What you will do:

• Define the architecture of applications and systems using the OutSystems platform;
• Choose appropriate patterns and frameworks to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability;
• Ensure integration with external systems (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP, databases, SAP);
• Design reusable components and modules to promote consistency and reduce duplication;
• Establish and enforce OutSystems development best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines;
• Review code and solution designs for quality, security, and compliance;
• Define and monitor performance benchmarks and architectural KPIs.

What you are like:

• Previous experience as a Solution architect, Tech lead, or Senior Developer where you contributed to system design, integration strategies, and technical decision-making will be valued;
• Experience creating architecture diagrams, solution documents, and design specifications;
• Exposure to both traditional and reactive web apps, and mobile apps built with OutSystems;
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence (valued);
• Focus on clear architecture documentation;
• Communication and contribution to the evolution of security rules, as well as the defined application and technology architecture;
• Autonomous ability to persuade the adoption of architecture rules in complex contexts;
• OutSystems Associate / Professional / Tech Lead / Architecture certifications will be a great plus!
