Job Title: Malware Analyst Lead
Location: Lisbon/Hybrid

Salary: €60,000 - €73,000
Looking for an experienced Malware Analyst Lead to help secure our web applications against ever-evolving threats. In this role, you'll conduct detailed security reviews of JavaScript code, identify vulnerabilities, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to development teams. Your expertise will directly enhance the safety and reliability of our digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse JavaScript code for security flaws, hidden threats, and policy violations.
- Reverse engineer obfuscated or complex code to uncover malicious logic.
- Apply both DAST and SAST techniques to identify and assess security risks.
- Deliver clear, practical feedback to developers and ensure secure coding practices.
- Stay updated on JavaScript security trends and emerging web threats.
- Automate and optimize security review processes for efficiency and scale.
- Document findings and provide consistent reporting across projects.
What You'll Bring:
- 4+ years in JavaScript development and web application security.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals (scope, closures, async, OOP, etc.).
- Experience with front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, AJAX, AngularJS).
- Familiarity with Node.js, webpack, HTML, and CSS.
- Solid understanding of ECMAScript (ES6/7+) and its security concerns.
- Proven ability to conduct effective DAST and SAST.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in code deconstruction and reverse engineering.
