The Financial Controlling Specialist will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting within the financial services sector.
Description
Execute recurring controlling & finance processes, such as accrual postings, allocations, reconciliations, and data validation;
Prepare, aggregate, deliver standardized financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards according to group templates and timelines;
Conduct plausibility checks on key inputs, assumptions, and outputs;
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by consolidating local data and ensuring proper data quality;
Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and provide commentary for Local or Divisional Controlling;
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data within controlling systems;
Contribute to process harmonization and automation initiatives;
Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing documentation and reconciliations;
Collaborate with peers, Controlling Managers, and Local/Divisional Controlling to resolve operational issues.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;
Experience in Controlling, Financial Reporting, Accounting, or FP&A;
Solid understanding of core controlling processes (accruals, allocations, reconciliations, variance analysis);
Experience in financial reporting, KPI preparation, and management reporting;
Strong Excel skills (advanced level required);
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar);
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy;
Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data quality and consistency;
Basic understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes;
Strong communication skills to interact with Controlling teams and stakeholders;
Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus;
Experience in process improvement or automation is a plus.
