Electrical Package Manager - Data Centres

€90,000-€100,000 + living allowance + accommodation + flights + rotation

A leading European data centre delivery specialist is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Portugal.


This is a senior site-based role with full responsibility for the delivery of the electrical package, from design coordination and procurement through to installation, testing, and commissioning. You will work closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to ensure the package is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


The Role

As Electrical Package Manager, you will take ownership of all electrical systems on site, leading subcontractors and internal teams while driving strong safety, quality, and performance outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the electrical package from design coordination through installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Oversee site safety in collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including setup and close-out of the safety file
  • Promote and embed a strong QHSE culture across site teams and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, and client to manage programme and milestones
  • Manage all electrical package costs, including:
  • Direct labour and subcontractors
  • Materials, goods receipting, plant, and equipment
  • Variations and valuations
  • Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
  • Manage subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels
  • Maintain the project snagging system, ensuring weekly punch lists are submitted and closed out
  • Issue labour hours for direct labour and subcontractors for central tracking
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, engineering reviews, coordination meetings, and handovers
  • Prepare and issue weekly internal and external progress and cost reports
  • Schedule and track material deliveries in line with the project programme
  • Maintain a weekly photographic site diary
  • Carry out all other duties required to successfully deliver the electrical package


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in Electrical Project or Package Management on large-scale projects
  • Background in data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or similarly complex environments preferred
  • Strong experience coordinating complex electrical systems and subcontractor teams
  • Experience dealing with industrial relations matters
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience working on design-and-build projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
