About the Role:

One of our clients operates complex telecommunications fulfillment and orchestration platforms, supporting large-scale connectivity and SD-WAN services. As a DevOps / Fulfillment Orchestration Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, operating, and supporting service orchestration components across production environments.

You will work closely with IT, network, and operations teams, contributing to service modelling, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and reliable production operations.

Core responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain fulfillment orchestration features for telecommunications services.
• Work extensively with HPE Service Orchestrator and Service Activator platforms.
• Perform service modelling and decomposition to support scalable, reusable service designs.
• Develop, test, and deploy solutions using Java.
• Contribute to automated testing practices, including BDD with Cucumber / Gherkin.
• Write and maintain Unix shell scripts supporting platform automation and operations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, supporting build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Improve automation and deployment reliability across environments.
• Support production operations, including incident handling and on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, orchestration, and integration issues in live environments.
• Work closely with IT, network, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Support cross-team initiatives related to service rollout, stability, and optimization.

Requirements:

• Proven DevOps experience in telecommunications environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE Service Orchestrator and service activation platforms.
• Solid Java development experience in production systems.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting and general Unix/Linux administration.
• Hands-on experience with BDD testing using Cucumber / Gherkin.
• CI/CD experience using GitLab.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including SD-WAN and connectivity services.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud-based environments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and services.
• Fluent English and good German communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Huawei SD-WAN or Versa Networks solutions.
• Previous exposure to large-scale telecom service fulfillment platforms.
• Experience improving observability, monitoring, and operational tooling.
