We are looking for an experienced professional to lead Accounting Systems projects and oversee the functional management of finance applications, ensuring continuous improvement of accounting processes, effective user support, and compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects related to the evolution of accounting systems and interfaces with upstream applications, driven by new product implementations and back-office system changes.
• Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and governance activities, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners throughout project lifecycles.
• Gather and document business requirements, prepare functional specifications, define accounting schemes, and coordinate testing and validation activities.
• Perform functional testing of system enhancements and configurations, ensuring compliance with business and accounting requirements.
• Support change management initiatives and facilitate user adoption of new processes and functionalities.
• Ensure the day-to-day operation of finance applications, including functional support, incident management, and process monitoring.
• Develop functional expertise in assigned applications, including configuration and parameterization activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, audit trail enhancements, SOX compliance requirements, and process optimization.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or functional management within finance and accounting environments.
• Experience gathering business requirements, preparing functional specifications, and coordinating testing activities.
• Solid understanding of IFRS financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Knowledge of banking accounting principles will be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience working closely with Finance, IT, and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SAP Finance modules, ideally including FI, CO, AA, Treasury, and PO/VIM.
• Experience with accounting reconciliation tools such as BlackLine, OneStream, or similar solutions is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Business Objects, SQL, or Power BI will be valued.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
