The Role
Seeking a VP of Product Engineering to establish and grow a world-class technical organisation. In this strategic leadership role, you'll oversee the end-to-end development process from concept through deployment across a suite of innovative products. You will collaborate with experts from multiple disciplines to shape and deliver high-value technology solutions that push boundaries in their respective fields.
Responsibilities
- Technical Strategy: Define and execute a long-term vision for engineering excellence, aligning with company goals.
- Cross-Team Leadership: Partner with research, product, and systems teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
- Product Development: Drive engineering from prototyping through to launch and scale.
- Innovation Culture: Promote agile experimentation and continuous adoption of emerging technologies.
- Team Growth: Attract, mentor, and retain top talent across core technical areas.
- Process Ownership: Implement processes for quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
About You
- 5+ years in technical leadership, ideally in deeptech medical startups
- R&D/Product Background
- Track record of delivering cutting-edge, multi-technology products.
- Familiarity with at least two of the following: applied sciences, imaging/hardware systems, or data-driven platforms.
- Collaborative, practical leadership style with a bias for execution.
- Experience working in regulated or standards-driven industries is advantageous.
- MUST BE OPEN TO RELOCATE TO PORTUGAL or LIVE THERE (60% office attendance is required)
