Your new role
As a Test Automation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in defining, implementing, and managing the test automation strategy across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure the integration of test frameworks and processes that align with the company’s architecture and business goals.
This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and a focus on quality and continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
You will be responsible for:
- Test Automation Strategy: Contribute to defining and implementing the test automation strategy across teams and projects.
- Technology Landscape: Define tools, frameworks, and methodologies for testing, and implement suitable test architectures.
- Cost & Benefit Analysis: Support decision-making through cost-benefit analysis to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Ensure test automation aligns with enterprise architecture and supports seamless solution delivery.
- Solution Quality & Consistency: Maintain the integrity, consistency, and quality of automated solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Complex Problem Solving: Address technical challenges with innovative solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
- System Design Documentation: Define and maintain solution architecture documentation aligned with real implementations.
- Proactive Improvement: Anticipate challenges and drive continuous improvements based on trends and best practices.
- Promote Best Practices: Advocate for QA excellence, with a focus on continuous testing and process optimization.
- Test Automation Development: Create and maintain automation scripts for both web and non-web applications.
- Quality Reporting: Build and manage reporting systems to ensure visibility into testing processes and outcomes.
What you will need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including both web and non-web applications.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing automation strategies in complex environments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of tools like Selenium, Appium, Browserstack, Katalon, Playwright, etc.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA’s role within it.
- Expertise in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional and non-regression testing (performance and security are a plus).
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and version control systems.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in Supply Chain environments is valued.
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
- Ability to align test automation with business and architectural goals.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective collaboration across technical teams and clear communication of QA standards.
- English Fluency is mandatory.
