Your New Role
You will act as a bridge between the business and IT teams, gathering requirements, defining data models, and developing robust database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL. In this hybrid position, you will:
- Create and refine PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, views, triggers, and complex queries
- Work closely with stakeholders and analysts to translate business needs into technical specifications and data workflows
- Model data relationships and validate structures to ensure integrity
- Fine-tune SQL and PL/SQL code for top performance and scalability
- Provide timely support for database-related incidents and troubleshooting
- Collaborate within a hybrid Agile delivery environment, participating in ceremonies and peer code reviews
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
- Proficiency in designing and optimising database schemas, stored code and queries
- Skilled in collecting functional requirements and converting them into technical solutions
- Competent in performance analysis and query tuning techniques
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and documentation best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise with both technical and business audiences
