CLIP - Oporto International School, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), was established in 1990 and has approximately 1200 students, aged 3 to 18, from 50+ different countries. All students are provided with an education that upholds the highest academic standards within a globally-minded learning culture. CLIP fosters an innovative, challenging and nurturing environment for learning, where each child is encouraged to develop their own unique talents. CLIP follows the EYFS, an adapted National Curriculum for England, the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and Cambridge AS and A2 studies.

For the academic year we are recruiting Lower School qualified English and Portuguese speaking Teaching Assistants.

Requirements

Applicants will preferably be university graduates in the area of education or possess specific teaching assistant or childcare qualifications.

Applicants must possess a valid EU passport or working permit allowing them to work in Portugal.

Fluent speakers of English and Portuguese.

Possess qualities such as innovation, creativity, collaboration and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

Assist the teacher in day to day.

Ensure a safe, clean, organised and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.

Provide instruction and support to pupils based on the teacher's lesson plans.

Observe and assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Step in for the teacher for short periods of absence.

Support in administrative, supervision and organisation duties within and beyond the classroom.
