Smart Energy LAB is a Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB) held by EDP Comercial, Accenture, Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon, University of Coimbra, INESCTEC and INESC ID.

Smart Energy Lab has a unique combination of science, technology and industry in the energy sector, focused on creating new products and services for the downstream of the energy value chain.

In order to shape the future, we are looking for a Strategy & Corporate Finance Analyst

.

As a Strategy & Corporate Finance Analyst in Smart Energy Lab you will perform tasks such as:

• Lead the development of financial models (business plans, valuation models and scenario analysis) to support new products, spinoffs and strategic projects that accelerate the energy transition
• Provide input to the leadership team on strategic, financial and corporate finance topics, translating analysis into clear recommendations.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis in the energy sector to identify growth opportunities, partnerships, and potential M&A targets.
• Prepare high impact presentations and investment materials for internal decision making, potential investors, and partners.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (technical, commercial, legal, finance) to structure and negotiate financing solutions for SEL's projects.

What we are looking for:

• Track record in Transactions (M&A, Due Diligence, Valuation) and/or funding rounds in a start-up ecosystem.
• Strong focus on achieving results and creating business impact.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to simplify complex problems and communicate them clearly.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance (valuation, project finance, business case development).
• Contact with planning & control tasks and streams
• Interest in energy, innovation and new business models; experience with distributed energy resources is a plus.

Specific skills required:

• +3 years of experience in transactions, strategy consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, planning & control or similar roles in high performance environments.
• Strong experience in building financial models and business plans.
• Degree in Management, Finance, Economics or similar.
• Advanced Excel and strong skills in preparing structured presentations (PowerPoint).
• Fluent English

Employees need to have Portuguese tax residency, be located in Lisbon area
