DOREA provides more than 40 scheduled, on-demand, and tailor-made ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility courses in 12 countries across Europe. Our main mission - foster academic and administrative staff's professional and personal development through non-formal education.
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic STEAM Trainer to lead a highly practical, hands-on, and non-formal training course for teachers and educators from Europe participating in an Erasmus+ KA1 staff mobility project.
This is not a traditional classroom-based training - instead, our approach is rooted in non-formal education, focusing on learning-by-doing, collaboration and real-world applications of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in school and adult education settings. Working hours: 9:00 -14:00 (Tuesday-Friday)
Your role will include:
- Designing and delivering interactive workshops, practical sessions, and experiential learning activities.
- Engaging participants (who are educators themselves) in creative problem-solving, teamwork, and project-based learning.
- Making complex STEAM concepts accessible and applicable to different educational contexts.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English
- Living in Porto or close by
- Proven experience in facilitating non-formal education or hands-on training.
- Ability to adapt content to suit educators from diverse school and adult learning environments.
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
- Passion for empowering and educating people
Nice to have:
- Background in STEAM subjects.
- Previous experience with Erasmus+ or international mobility trainings.
- Familiarity with the needs and challenges of school and adult educators.
