This role requires a SharePoint Administrator - Digital Workplace Engineer with expertise in delivering and managing cloud-based solutions tailored for the financial services industry - funds & asset management. The position will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient technology integration and support.
Description
You will work closely with IT, Security and Business stakeholders to build a scalable, secure, and user-friendly workplace experience, covering architecture, migration, governance, automation, and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own the technical design of SharePoint Online (SPO) and OneDrive for Business (ODfB) as core Modern Workplace services.
- Lead the migration strategy and PoC/pilot execution
- Design the information architecture: site structure, hubs, templates, metadata, content types, enterprise search configuration, and life cycle management.
- Establish governance standards
- Automate operations using Azure automation patterns (e.g., Functions/Automation).
- Steer back logs and continuous improvements.
- Produce documentation and mentor engineers to elevate the internal capability.
Profile
A successful SharePoint Administrator - Digital Workplace Engineer should have:
- 5+ years in Microsoft ecosystem engineering with 2+ years hands-on in SharePoint Online and One Drive in medium/large tenants.
- Proven experience working with a managed service provider / outsourced operating model.
- Proven experience in transition/migration projects to MS 365 (file system to sharepoint).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 identity & access.
- Strong automation skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, PnP PowerShell, scripting standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting across One Drive sync, client config, networking constraints, and service health.
- Comfortable operating in regulated environments; able to translate policy/control requirements into practical technical configurations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management, able to run workshops and produce clear, usable documentation.
