Your New Role
As a Senior SAP BASIS Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of SAP systems. You will manage the technical infrastructure, oversee system upgrades, and troubleshoot complex issues. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure seamless integration, high availability, and optimal performance of SAP environments across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support for SAP BASIS-related issues in line with SLAs
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure operational reliability
- Manage and optimise the Transport Management System (TMS)
- Design and implement technical changes, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards
- Provide technical leadership and support for SAP-related projects
- Monitor system performance and conduct root cause analysis for incidents
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure service quality and compliance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures
- Generate regular service quality and performance reports
- Participate in international SAP implementation and migration projects as a technical lead
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong expertise in SAP BASIS administration, including ECC, S/4HANA, and related components
- At least 5 years of experience managing SAP landscapes in complex environments
- Proficiency in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, and migrations
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, international teams
