I am currently working with a Pan-European IPP that is expanding their team in Lisbon. They are currently looking for a Senior Project Developer to support the development of solar, wind, and storage projects across Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of renewable energy projects, with a focus on permitting processes (environmental, electrical, municipal, etc.).
• Assess feasibility of new project opportunities and coordinate technical studies.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and resources throughout the development phase.
• Oversee external providers and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams across business development, construction, and headquarters support units to optimize project execution.
• Support local stakeholder engagement and represent the project in relevant interactions with authorities and partners.
• Ensure compliance with permits during the construction phase.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise and providing guidance on project development and permitting processes.
• Monitor project progress, report on key milestones, and proactively flag and resolve potential issues.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Developer, ideally within the renewable energy sector in Portugal.
• A strong understanding of permitting procedures and local administrative processes.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• A higher degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (or similar).
• Experience in designing wind or solar projects, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant software tools.
• A valid driving license.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
