We are seeking a Senior Fund Accounting Officer to oversee and manage fund accounting processes within the Financial Services industry.

Description

• Review / Preparation of Financial Statements with Disclosures and other ad-hoc service requests from clients.
• Review / Bookkeeping including timely and accurate recording of transactions of private equity and other investment type structures.
• Calculation of net asset value and preparation of reporting packs of funds on a quarterly/semi-annual and annual basis in line with the required accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation / review of financial statements for audit purposes.
• Communicate and liaise with external parties such as Investment Managers, auditors, banks or regulatory bodies.
• Understanding complex fund structures and accounting treatment of the related transactions.
• Performs self-review of core processes to demonstrate self-awareness of the funds reporting cycle from interpreting governing documentation to finalisation of financial statements.
• Assist with onboarding of new entities in the accounting platform.
• Review / Calculation of tax/VAT reporting.
• Preparation of required reporting (client, BCL, CSSF).
• Ensure adequate and timely responses to clients' requests.
• Reporting to and communicating with investment managers and other relevant parties.
• Taking ownership for all elements of a funds reporting cycle from review and interpretation of fund governing documentation, through to day-to-day accounting tasks, the production of quarterly reporting and net asset values and annual financial statements.

Profile

• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Accounting (preferably within Fund administration).
• Accounting, Business or Mathematical university degree with solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience in Accounting, preferable Private Equity/Real Estate fund structures.
• Knowledge of various accounting standards and principles (IFRS, LUXGAAP & USGAAP are an added advantage).
• Experience in MS Office - including mastering Excel.
• Investran knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
• Proactive and excellence communicational skills - via phones, emails or face-to-face.
• Works well under pressure to achieve daily deadlines for client deliverables.
• Analytical profile and problem-solving skills.
• Team player and autonomous.
