Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to extract valuable insights from large, diverse data sets
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their data and analytics needs, and translate them into effective data science solutions
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical guidance and career development support
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance the company's analytical capabilities
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner
- Ensure data integrity, model accuracy, and overall quality of data science deliverables
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's data science infrastructure and tools
You must have:
- Data Visualization tools - Qlik Sense / Qlik View / PowerBI / Tableau
- Strong understanding of design principles and ability to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Minimum 5 years of of hands-on experience as a data scientist or in a similar role, preferably in a multinational, fast-paced environment
- Experience leading and mentoring data science teams
- Programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Strong self management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of data management (ETL) and Snowflake is preferred
- Practical experience with agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- European Union Citizenship or Portuguese Working Visa / Portuguese Residency.
- Availability to go to the office, once a week.
