Your Mission

You'll take hands-on ownership of our database architecture, data pipelines, and orchestration workflows. You'll ensure our data and forecasting models run seamlessly, reliably, and at scale. Working closely with our data science and product teams, you'll build the backbone that powers our forecasts - from raw data ingestion to delivery of actionable results. Full-stack experience is a plus, enabling you to contribute to internal tools when needed.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and optimize our PostgreSQL database architecture to handle large-scale, high-frequency forecasting data
• Develop and manage orchestration workflows (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) for ETL, model training, and result delivery
• Create robust backend services for ingesting, processing, and serving forecasts
• Proactively monitor pipeline health and database performance; resolve bottlenecks and automate error handling
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and scale models in production
• Implement auditability, logging, and versioning for data flows and forecasts
• Automate repetitive data handling and reporting tasks
• Contribute to system architecture decisions as we grow
• (Optional) Support internal dashboards and lightweight frontend tools

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, data infrastructure, or database administration
• Deep hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, replication, and query optimization
• Strong Python skills and experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.)
• Familiarity with API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and cloud storage (GCS, S3)
• Independent problem-solver who thrives in a startup environment
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Bonus: Background in supply chain, manufacturing, or forecasting domains
