Your New Mission 

• Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines to transform raw data from multiple sources (APIs, FTP, SFTP) into structured formats.
• Architect and deploy high-performance pipelines (batch and streaming), including monitoring and alerting systems for analysts and business users.
• Manage and organize large, complex datasets, ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support data governance initiatives by cataloging metadata and implementing data quality tests.
• Perform data modeling, design database objects (views, tables, procedures), and optimize queries for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Participate in production support activities, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Promote continuous improvement, coding according to architectural guidelines and enhancing scalability and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve data engineering practices.

What You Need to Succeed 

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in data pipeline development and AWS services (S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SNS/SQS, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong skills in SQL programming and experience with unstructured or graph databases.
• Proficiency in Python and data-related libraries (e.g., Pandas, Boto3).
• Solid understanding of data platform architecture and data governance principles.

• Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Snowflake and orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions, Prefect).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control (GitHub, GitLab).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Certifications in AWS or Snowflake are a plus.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

• Soft Skills:
  • Agile mindset: collaboration, mentoring, intellectual humility, and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile environments using tools like Jira.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (Portuguese and/or French is a plus).
  • Team player with a proactive approach to challenges and improvement.
