SAP FI/CO Consultant

Remote (occasional travel across Europe) Finance & Technology Consulting Project

At wBrain, we're looking for a SAP FI/CO Consultant to join an international project focused on optimizing financial and controlling processes across multiple European entities.

This role requires strong expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, with the ability to translate business needs into efficient system configurations and deliver tangible value to the client's operations.

Role Mission

Ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant management of financial and controlling processes through the configuration, enhancement, and support of SAP FI/CO modules, working closely with international stakeholders and technical teams.

? Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement solutions within SAP FI/CO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, CO-PC, etc.);
• Participate in end-to-end SAP rollouts, upgrades, and integrations across European business units;
• Conduct workshops with finance and controlling teams to gather and validate business requirements;
• Customize and optimize system configurations to support financial reporting, budgeting, and controlling processes;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, and other modules;
• Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support;
• Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related SAP issues, ensuring timely resolution;
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules (implementation or support);
• Proven experience in multinational or European projects;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities;
• Fluent in English (mandatory);
• German knowledge is highly valued;
• Ability to travel occasionally across Europe for workshops and client meetings.

Nice to Have

• Experience in S/4HANA migrations;
• Familiarity with Fiori apps and reporting tools;
• Exposure to SAP integration with third-party financial systems;
• Understanding of local European tax and accounting regulations.
