About the Role:
The Data Migration Coordinator is responsible for overseeing data migration activities, including data preparation, cleansing, and loading across all active site readiness and rollout projects. The role supports the involved teams in understanding data structure requirements, provides feedback on completed tasks, and ensures that the Data Migration Factory Lead receives an accurate status overview at all times. Additionally, the role is accountable for developing mitigation plans in case of issues and for escalating risks when mitigations within the area of control appear insufficient to meet agreed milestones, including proposing mitigation options for the next escalation level.
Core responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of contact for active site readiness projects and rollouts.
- Support the Data Migration Factory Manager in planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Assist project-assigned migrators with alignment, issue resolution, and escalation management.
- Facilitate collaboration between PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), MDG (Master Data Governance), and DMF (Data Migration Factory) teams to ensure smooth integration.
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and adherence to governance standards across departments.
- Monitor rollout progress and provide status reporting on readiness, risks, agreed and / or suggested mitigation plans, task owners and dependencies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in project coordination or data migration roles within large-scale ERP programs.
- Familiarity with data migration needs in transforming systems to SAP S/4HANA, including MDG, and PLM systems (Windchill is a plus)
- Understanding data migration processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and reporting tools for tracking and documentation.
- Fundamental knowledge of ETL concepts and data validation techniques.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid project management approaches.
- Knowledge of data migration best practices, including mock runs and cutover planning.
