Role: Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Leaning)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Contract: Permanent

We're working with a fast growing fintech company in Portugal that's building modern financial products used by customers across Europe. They're looking to bring on a strong full stack developer who enjoys working close to the product and has a natural bias toward frontend development.

This is a great opportunity to join a product led team where engineering has real influence over the user experience, technical direction, and overall product evolution.

The role

You'll be part of a cross functional team working on customer-facing features end-to-end, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality, intuitive frontend experiences. While the role leans frontend, you'll still be involved across the stack and contribute to backend services where needed.

The team values clean code, thoughtful design, and engineers who are comfortable taking ownership and contributing to product discussions.

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally within a product-focused environment
• Strong experience with React and modern frontend development practices
• Experience with Ruby / Ruby on Rails, or
• Solid backend experience with Python or Node.js, with a willingness to learn Ruby
• Experience building and shipping user-facing products at scale
• Comfortable working across the stack, even if your strength is frontend
• Good understanding of API design and integration
• Experience working in cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering)
• Strong attention to detail when it comes to UI/UX and performance
• Ability to take ownership of features from concept through to production
