Sales Manager

Location: LACS, Cascais (Portugal)

Employment Type: Onsite (2 remote days/week after 6-month probation)

Contract Type: 12-month contract with potential for renewal

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm

About the Role

Our client is a superfood company who are going through a period of rapid growth and expansion. They are looking to hire a Sales Manager, who will take the lead on building and executing a structured sales strategy for the business. The successful candidate will help drive revenue, manage key accounts, and expand into new markets, all while developing and leading a high-performing sales team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a structured sales strategy for ingredients trading
  • Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage key customer accounts in the food, pharma, nutraceutical, and beverage sectors
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and emerging trends
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Support sourcing of new/customized ingredients
  • Collaborate internally to deliver tailored product solutions to clients
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team
  • Provide coaching and training to align team efforts with company objectives
  • Analyse sales data to support strategy and decision-making
  • Use advanced Excel tools for forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Sales, Business, Trade, or related field
    • Minimum 8 years of relevant sales experience
    • Proven success as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently exceeding targets
    • Fluent in English; other European languages (especially French) are a plus
    • Industry experience in supplements, superfoods, or organic ingredients is highly valued

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: €35,000-€40,000 (gross) - plus benefits
    • Health Insurance
    • Relocation Package: Negotiable
