Quality Lead - Textile Wet Processing & Technical Services

Overview

An international technical consultancy organization is seeking a Quality Lead to drive and safeguard the delivery of high-quality technical services across textile wet processing projects. This senior role focuses on diagnostic assessments, audits, training, and consultancy, ensuring technical excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement across programs and geographies.

The Quality Lead acts as a key technical authority, supporting internal expert teams, validating reports and improvement actions, and ensuring service delivery aligns with defined standards and methodologies. The role combines hands-on technical engagement with quality oversight, mentoring, and documentation review.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct on-site diagnostic assessments, audits, and consultancy visits focused on:
• Textile wet processing
• Chemical management
• Process optimization and operational efficiency
• Support textile facilities in improving performance by:
• Reducing water consumption
• Minimizing rework
• Increasing process speed
• Ensuring consistent product quality
• Plan and deliver technical training sessions for internal expert teams, tailored to site-specific needs or program-wide objectives.
• Review, validate, and approve consultancy reports, action plans, and process improvement documentation, ensuring technical robustness and data integrity.
• Perform quality assurance evaluations at validated mills, assessing:
• Accuracy of reported data
• Adherence to process controls
• Effectiveness of implemented improvement plans

• Serve as the primary technical reference point for internal experts, providing methodological guidance, resolving technical questions, and ensuring alignment with service frameworks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, project documentation, client alignment, and service delivery tracking.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of professional experience in textile wet processing environments, with mandatory hands-on exposure to production on-site operations.
• Strong technical background in:
• Textile wet processing and machinery operations
• Dyehouse operations and chemical management
• Process diagnostics and performance optimization

• Demonstrated ability to lead or validate technical assessments, audits, and improvement programs.
• Experience reviewing and approving technical reports, data sets, and action plans.
• Exposure to wastewater treatment technologies is a strong advantage.
• Proven capability to train, mentor, and technically support internal expert teams.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy, process control, and quality consistency.

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to validate and refine technical documentation.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required for assessments, training, and quality assurance visits.
• Based in Portugal or willing to commute to Porto.
• Compensation: €3,000 gross per month.
