We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for Airbus Atlantic Portugal, in Santo Tirso.
Integrated into a multicultural environment and dynamic team, this position will report directly to the Quality Department Management. This professional will be responsible for the proper functioning of the quality management system.
MISSION
- Industrial qualifications management
- Define a test plan, in accordance with current requirements, and evaluate the results to ensure the qualification of new processes;
- Ensure the requalification of existing processes participate in audits and ensure that process non-conformities are corrected;
- Maintain operator qualifications in the system through cooperation with other departments (HR, production, logistics, maintenance, etc.).
- Process monitoring
- Assess whether the processes applied correspond to the processes described in the standard by monitoring them;
- Describe the non-conformities found in monitoring and align with those responsible for dealing with these non-conformities the actions to be taken and the respective deadlines for completing them;
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to define relevant actions and execute them if applicable to Quality;
- Follow and streamline the treatment of corrective actions;
- Propose improvements to both the quality management system and the application of monitored processes;
- Interact with the process owners of the standards in case of doubts or when there are improvements to be proposed;
- Participate in training and pass on information about the importance of quality in the aeronautical sector to the entire factory.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSABILITIES
- Participate in the management of the measuring equipment fleet;
- Assessment of calibration reports and carrying out risk analyzes if equipment is non-compliant;
- Train new employees on the importance of quality in aeronautics.
PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or similar;
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in similar roles;
- Knowledge of aeronautics, particularly EASA and EN9100 regulations (preferred);
- Basic knowledge of metrology;
- Technical ability to read plans and use and interpret standards;
- Proficiency in Excel;
- Experience using SAP (preferred);
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; knowledge of French will be valued;
- Rigorous, dynamic and proactive;
- High sense of responsibility, organization, attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
- Ease of relationships and ability to work as a team;
- Strong focus on continuous improvement.
