Adecco Permanent Recruitment is recruiting a Planning Engineer (m/f) for Scotland.

Our client is a multinational company of reference in the energy and construction sector and wants someone for an open-ended contract.

 Only applications from profiles with B1 and higher domains in English will be accepted.

 

Main Purpose, Tasks & Accountabilities

The Planning Engineer must figure out and plan the best and most efficient way to complete a project and ensure that health and safety regulations are obeyed.

Interpret data, compile reports, and deliver presentations when required.

Addressing all planning requirements on assigned projects;

Contribute to the improvement of existing planning and progress monitoring systems;

Ensure project controls are established and maintained on all projects;

Overseeing projects from pre-start through to completion;

Ensure that Design & Engineering Site Operations best practices are being adhered to throughout all projects;

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;

Checking and signing off daily paperwork returned from the site;

Attending and scheduling meetings as required.

 

Skills and Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Eliminatory Factor);

A valid drivers license;

Excellent problem-solving skills;

Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables;

Ability to build morale among the teams and promote continuous improvement;

Ability to read and interpret network drawings;

Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines;

A sound understanding of safety protocols.

 

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or similar;

NEBOSH General Certificate/NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desirable);

Fully conversant with all Microsoft Office applications;

Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
