Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operational Resilience Specialist to join our growing Wealth Management business. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of International Wealth Management, this role is critical in strengthening AlTi's operational resilience framework to meet regulatory expectations, such as US, UK and the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) requirements, and to ensure the firm's continued ability to deliver essential services in the face of disruptions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational resilience and continuity in a financial services context, including, but not limited to, risk management, business continuity, ICT/cyber resilience frameworks, as well as the governing regulatory regimes.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and manage the firm's global Operational Resilience framework, embedding resilience principles into business and technology processes.
- Coordinate and lead impact tolerance assessments, scenario testing, and business service mapping in alignment with DORA and other global regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and the Business to ensure resilience strategies are comprehensive and effective.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to operational resilience e.g. US SEC/FINRA, UK FCA and EU DORA expectations and anything that is relevant to Resilience and align internal policies accordingly.
- Partner with Procurement & Vendor Management and Risk teams to ensure critical outsourced service providers meet resilience standards and contractual obligations.
- Implement and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs), disaster recovery (DR) testing, and crisis management programs and responses.
- Maintain incident logs and lead incident responses and post-incident reviews, ensuring adequate escalation, well-documented root cause analysis and remedial actions implementation, as well as reporting.
- Support the development of Executive-level reporting on resilience readiness, testing outcomes, and remediation plans.
- Educate and train key stakeholders on operational resilience obligations, processes, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operational resilience, business continuity within financial services or wealth management.
- Additional experience in IT service continuity, crisis management, risk management, IT audit, incident management and response, third-party risk management and/or other related areas strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable technology and vendor practices.
- Deep familiarity with the US SEC/FINRA, UK FCA and EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) requirements.
- Solid understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks such as SOX, with the ability to align operational resilience controls to technology, financial reporting, and broader compliance obligations.
- Experience of data privacy, implementation of data protection/GDPR programmes to address confidentiality and security would be advantageous.
- Able to analyse complex data and identify potential vulnerabilities and impact on business operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with resilience and audit tooling (e.g., Fusion, Archer, ServiceNow, AuditBoard), including automation of testing and reporting.
- Experience working in global, multi-jurisdictional organizations with complex regulatory obligations is highly desirable.
- Experienced with influencing and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to deliver resilience priorities within a matrixed global environment.
- Collaborating with technology teams to design and embed resilience into cloud strategy, infrastructure redundancy, and application architecture.
- Leading and supporting cross-functional BCP / cyber simulations and major-incident reviews alongside technology and risk stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Resilience/continuity related qualifications such as CBCI/AMBCI/MBCI, Master BCM, ISO22301 auditor, ISO 27001 auditor are a plus.
