We're Hiring: Data Governance Analyst - Banking Sector (CIB) Lisbon (Hybrid)


Are you passionate about data quality, governance, and regulatory alignment? Join us as a Data Governance Analyst to support one of our key clients in the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) space. This role is crucial to enhancing the quality, integrity, and oversight of TP/KYC critical data.


About the role:

You will play a key part in designing and deploying a data governance framework aligned with group-level standards, supporting both business and compliance objectives. Working cross-functionally with Business Lines and Group stakeholders, you will help ensure that critical data is trusted, well-documented, and effectively managed.


What you'll do:

  • Establish and implement data governance guidelines, including controls, tools, data dictionaries, and lineage tracking
  • Act as the interface between Business Lines and the Group for governance-related topics
  • Support the identification and classification of critical data, particularly for TP/KYC domains
  • Drive data quality monitoring and coordinate remediation efforts through clear dashboards and KPIs
  • Promote a data-by-design approach across transformation initiatives
  • Animate and lead Data Quality governance forums and escalation processes
  • Contribute expertise to strategic data projects, particularly those involving compliance, KYC, and regulatory topics


Key Projects:

  • Implementation of a group-aligned governance model for TP/KYC data
  • Deployment of Data Quality controls and dashboards
  • Support transformation programs linked to data management and compliance


Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of data governance, quality management, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with data lineage tools, shared data dictionaries, and quality monitoring frameworks
  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with banking industry standards and regulatory expectations (KYC, compliance, etc.)


Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English (C1-C2 level mandatory)


Soft Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across business and technical teams
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate matrix environments and manage stakeholders at different levels
  • Structured, rigorous, and proactive mindset
