YOUR ROLE
Capgemini Engineering is searching for an experienced Linux Deployment and DevOps Engineer, responsible for integrating, preparing, automating, and deploying solutions. Acts as a bridge between Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Product teams, ensuring that infrastructure, systems, and deployment pipelines function consistently and securely. This profile combines IT Systems Engineering skills, including infrastructure design, virtualization, hardening, networking, and troubleshooting, with DevOps practices focused on deployment, automation, and observability.
YOUR PROFILE
- Integrate and configure IT systems as part of engineering solutions, including servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and virtualization platforms.
- Prepare, automate, and execute product and service deployments across multiple environments.
- Create and maintain deployment-oriented scripts, playbooks, and pipelines.
- Integrate solutions with external services (databases, APIs, message brokers).
- Apply hardening, configure operating systems (Linux/Windows), manage VMs and COTS.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve incidents in real time.
- Document installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Network, QA, Product, and Operations teams.
- Support IVVQ teams in post-deployment validation (health checks, performance tests) and BID
NICE TO HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT/DevOps roles with a focus on integration and deployment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Electronics, or a similar field.
- Advanced Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and Windows Server administration.
- Design and implementation of IT infrastructure, including Data Centers, HA, and Disaster Recovery.
- Virtualization: VMware, Proxmox VE.
- Configuration of L2/L3 networks, VLANs, routing, firewalling, and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, LDAP, SNTP).
- System hardening and security policies.
- DevOps & Deployment
- Automation with Ansible (playbooks, roles), Terraform (IaC), Puppet, or Chef.
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Deployment pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar (focus on CD, not CI).
- Git and GitOps for code and artifact management (Artifactory).
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk.
- Knowledge of cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) oriented towards IaaS/PaaS.
