BFF Banking group is hiring for a full qualified in-house lawyer dedicated to the direct management of legal actions with the aim to internalize the judicial activity in the Portuguese Branch.
With experience in litigation matters preferably gained in international or major national law firms withing the banking sector; the ideal candidate should be specialized in banking litigation and experienced in managing massive litigations for debt collection before both civil and administrative courts. Additional experience in negotiations with counterparts, drafting contract as settlement agreements and payment plans is needed.

Key responsibilities
Manage all phases and degrees of legal actions - included litigations before high courts and enforcement procedures - before competent courts (civil and administrative).
Prepare relevant strategy, draft pleadings, appear before the courts and attend the hearings.
Take relevant risks autonomously as well as, when necessary, supervise and direct the external lawyer's activity.
Negotiate with the counterparts.
Draft contracts as settlement agreements and payment plans.
Legal analysis, opinions and memorandums on a wide range of topics.
Constant updating and reporting activity to the HQ.
Technical requirements
Lawyer with minimum of 4/6 years of experience in litigation and qualified to practice before Portuguese courts (necessary). Access and use of to Citius and SITAF platforms are mandatory.
Conversant in Factoring and Banking matters.
Strong legal technical abilities (knowledge of Public Administration System, especially National Health System will be considered as a plus).
Good knowledge of excel and familiarity with informative system.
Native Portuguese and fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken).
Skills
Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and excellent organization skills are required.
Able to work autonomously but also as a part of a team.
Negotiation skills.
