Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

Porto/Hybrid

€65,000 - €75,000 + package

Job moves are all about timing and now could not be a better opportunity to join our client as they set up their tech hub in Porto.

Currently, they operate as a globally distributed team but they're looking to centralise tech and build a productive and collaborative culture in Portugal. Therefore, this role as Lead Software Engineer for their full stack team is absolutely crucial.

Their stack is built on JavaScript and TypeScript technologies; Node, React, Next as well as MySQL and AWS

They're looking for smart engineers - people who are problem solvers and proactive - rather than people who have x years with y.

What you can expect to be doing:

• You'll guide a small but skilled engineering squad who have a roadmap of exciting features that we can talk through.
• Driving their CI/CD modernisation efforts
• Being the interlink between business and technology, in a product-led environment you'll be delivering value regularly
• Delivering large scale software, end-to-end, in an Agile environment
• Work with the QA team to build robust testing strategies
• Be a positive influence across the whole engineering function

We're looking for people who can demonstrate expertise across the full stack. We're looking for people who can influence decision making and can work effectively in an English speaking environment.

Given the investment in the Porto office, this will eventually be a hybrid role so someone willing to travel into the office for 2-3 days per week is required.
