Join a global tech-driven organisation creating a new OutSystems capability from Lisbon.

You’ll be part of a digital engineering group building modern web applications used across multiple regions, in an environment that values ownership, innovation and high-quality delivery.

 

Your New Mission

Act as the senior OutSystems technical reference, lead and mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions and shape the long-term vision of the platform. You’ll help establish processes, best practices and a new local engineering capability from scratch.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical initiatives: analysis, design, development and delivery
• Ensure OutSystems best practices, code quality and scalable architecture
• Collaborate with product, architecture and engineering teams across different geographies
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions
• Support hiring, onboarding and mentoring as the team grows
• Define internal guidelines, standards and reusable patterns
• Work with cloud services, APIs, databases and integration platforms
• Communicate risks, technical impact and recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate with external tech partners on roadmap alignment

 

What You Need to Succeed

Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with OutSystems (ODC experience preferred)
• Solid background in designing scalable web applications
• Experience  leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Strong understanding of best practices, integration and performance tuning
• Confident  working with REST APIs and Agile/DevOps environments
• Excellent  communication skills and fluency in English
• Motivation to build and scale a new engineering capability

 

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or others also valued)
• Cloud certifications
• Additional backend knowledge (C#, .NET or similar)
• Experience in compliant / regulated environments
