What will your role be within the ITS Team?
The L2 Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, and providing advanced support for VoIP and SIP infrastructures. This role involves participation in deployment projects and ensuring the technical implementation of IP telephony solutions and number portability.
Responsibilities:
1. Deployment and Configuration:
- Install and configure VoIP platforms (IPBX, SBC, SIP Gateways, etc.).
- Configure SIP services and integrate with network infrastructure.
- Implement and manage number portability processes in coordination with telecom operators.
- Conduct functional testing and validation prior to deployment.
2. Level 2 Technical Support:
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to VoIP solutions.
- Escalate to Level 3 support or suppliers when necessary.
- Document and update technical documentation.
3. Supervision :
- Diagnostiquer et résoudre les incidents complexes liés aux solutions VoIP. Monitor VoIP solutions,diagnose, and resolve complex issues.
- Escalate incidents to Level 3 support or suppliers as needed.
- Maintain updated technical documentation.
4. Collaboration and Training:
- Travailler - Collaborate closely with PBC teams.
- Assist BU teams in incident resolution and skill improvement
Technical Environment:
- Proficiency with SIP, RTP, H.323, MGCP protocols.
- Advanced understanding of VoIP infrastructure (LAN/WAN, SIP Protocol, Cisco, Asterisk, Audiocodes, etc.).
- Experience in SBC and SIP gateways management.
- Networking competencies: TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, Firewall, NAT.
- Familiar with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Syslog, SNMP, etc.)
Qualifications
- Master's degree (BAC+5) in IT, Networking,Telecommunications, or related field.
- Preferred certifications : CCNA/CCNP Collaboration,
- ACIS/ACSS LAN/WAN and SIP protocols, SIP School.
Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of IP telephony, VoIP, SIP, UC, and related tools (LAN/WAN, SIP protocol, etc.).
- Proficient with Jira, Confluence, advanced Excel (macro creation and VBA automations).
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms for Voice & UC infrastructures.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
Soft Skills:
- Rigorous, organized, and customer-oriented.
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English.
Technical Skills:
- SBC and SIP gateways management experience.
- Knowledge of number portability processes.
- Networking skills: TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, Firewall, NAT.
- Competent with supervision and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Syslog, SNMP, etc.).
