Your new role
As a Kafka Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and managing the Kafka-based streaming component within the Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP). Your mission will be to ensure seamless integration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement of this critical platform.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the technical roadmap and improvement plan for the Kafka-based platform.
- Implementing best practices and recommendations for optimal performance.
- Managing requirements and lifecycle: gathering needs, prioritising backlog, and tracking progress.
- Overseeing technical integration with HIP teams, including DevOps and observability.
- Establishing and supporting Level 2 and Level 3 technical support activities.
- Monitoring KPIs and ensuring platform reliability and performance.
- Driving community engagement through best practices and workshops.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience with Kafka and data streaming technologies.
- Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and integration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CICD tools (GitLab, XLDeploy, Camunda) and observability solutions.
- Familiarity with API management tools and hybrid integration environments.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
