About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Accounting Assistant to join our small and collaborative operations team in Portugal. This position is part of a Family Office environment, and is a hybrid role, combining remote work with regular in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, assist in managing the accounting system, and contribute to improving internal documentation and reporting processes.

You will also collaborate with various teams to ensure the accurate integration of financial data and help identify opportunities for process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry in accounting/ reporting systems
• Assist with invoice validation, reconciliation, and tracking
• Maintain and organize digital records in shared folders
• Document accounting processes and internal procedures
• Support the daily management and operation of the accounting system (Archway)
• Collaborate with local and international teams to ensure correct data integration and workflow consistency
• Identify and propose process improvements or automation opportunities within Archway or related systems

Profile

Ideal Profile

• University degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related fields
• Experience with accounting and reporting system implementation (1-3 years)
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a financial accounting role
• Familiarity with accounting systems/software
• Proficiency with Excel
